As well as beginner and intermediates, we have a number of fencers who compete at a National Level, and in the 2007 British Championships held here at the EISS, two of the fencers who regularly attend won Bronze medals in the individual events. We also have a number of people who did very well, including 2 L8's, a L16, 4 L32's and 8 L64's.
With the training plan for the curent season in place, we are looking to develope these fencers to achieve more next throughout the next season, and also develop other fencers into competative fencers, and also encourage our younger fencers to compete in some of the many Junior fencing compititions throughout the season, including the LPJS, and the Yorkshire Youth League (where we have a number of fencers who have either won an event or won the whole series in their age group and weapon).

There is also a team event in each of the three weapons at some point of the year. These competitions give points in the Yorkshire League, which you may become addicted to (or not).
